Creativity has no gender – why we favor “female letter” then? There have been less noted women artists. There have been less noted women writers. That they have nothing to say, that they lack in talent or imagination we do not believe. Lack in opportunities and possibilities, perhaps. We are also terribly eager to know what color and energy this new female gender literature brings on. We want to read! ATC introduces the Reading Room – space for young/unrecognized women writers from Balkan territory at its website. At the same time, ATC is pleased to announce its Short Story Contest on all mutually comprehendible languages for young/unrecognized women writers from Balkan territory. Surprise us with something uncommon! The title of the future Story Collection or the whole edition perhaps, is going to be inspired by your work. Only one story of one woman author can be published in the collection, but you can apply with up to three stories. At this contest stories are not going to be ranked nor awarded. Contestants will have their stories presented on our website at the Reading Room and considered for publication.. The writer of each short story selected to appear in the Collection will receive one copy of the book. The launch is all on us! ·Woman author applies alone. At the future stories collection full name of the author shall be stated. If author insists on anonymity, her wish shall be respected. ·Please attach your story to an email as a Microsoft Word document. Notification of receipt of entry will normally be sent by E- mail. ·Stories should not exceed 10.000 characters (with spaces), but few more characters will make no problem if the story is good one. ·Contest has been opened from the moment you have read it, and it lasts until we collect sufficient number of quality stories to be published in the book. ·Stories must be available for the Anthology and, therefore, must not have be published previously. Copyright remains with the author. ·The writer of each short story selected to appear in the Anthology obliges not to publish the story elsewhere within a year, and after that period she will acknowledge the story had been published at this Anthology for the first time. ·Author accepts all conditions and rules of the Contest by submission.
